One of my favourite things about a new year is a new journal, and what's better than making your own?

Led by a professional bookbinder, you’ll learn the skill of bookbinding, making a handbound journal to take home with you. (If you'd like to gift this workshop, I can post out a gift voucher free of charge - just leave me a message when ordering)

You’ll learn:

• Preparing pages for sewing

• How to select papers and materials

• Sewing and lining your book block using traditional sewing methods

• Making hardcover books with bookcloth and hand marbled papers

• Personalising with a gold or silver foil title

• ’Casing in’ your books and attaching the book and cover together

  
  There will be an abundance of high quality materials to choose from, and because we’re gathering in my studio you’ll have access to the full range of equipment, materials and tools.

  Workshops run from 11am - 4pm from my studio in Bridgeton in the East End of Glasgow. Close to train links, with plenty of free on street parking.
