I'm happy to be returning to Innellan in what is always a lovely day of lovely folk! This time making a hand sewn photo album.

Led by a professional bookbinder, you’ll learn how to make a bespoke A5 photo album hand using traditional and contemporary techniques. You’ll leave with a one-off album to gift or keep for yourself (with plenty of time to fill it before Christmas if you're planning to gift it). The structure uses clever compensated pages to allow space for photos, sketches or ephemera to be added without it becoming bulky.

We'll hand sew our pages, creating a beautiful sewn pattern on the spine. We’ll also get the chance to do a little gold tooling and add some gold or silver decoration to the cover to make it really special!

I'll be bringing a range of professional bookcloths, hand marbled papers and coloured threads.

Workshops run from 10am - 5pmish from Innellan Village Hall. Close to the bus stop, with plenty of free on street parking. Suitable for beginners as well as bookbinders looking to learn a new structure.
